In years past I've set intentions by choosing a singular word at the start of the new calendar year. Recently, what has become so clear to me is that honoring my own rhythm and consistently creating connection with nature's cycles is paramount. The singular word I came up with to capture that this year is "vitality."
What does vitality look like?
Well, for me, it looked like waking up New Year's Day and swimming in an icy, glacier-fed stream. Then rolling in the snow.
Naked. (Thank you, Wim Hof, for the inspiration!)
For me, it also looks like sending out clinic newsletters on the full moon, if only as a subtle reminder for you all to look up at the night sky. Over the holiday I had the chance to sit under the Milky Way, away from light pollution, and oh my, yes, please. Vitality, indeed.
Keep your eyes peeled in the coming months, workshops are being planned, including another Yoga for Anxiety, a new workshop on yoga for joint health, and an experiential class on probiotics and the microbiome.
What does vitality look like for you? As we head into a new cycle, what words will guide your way? Food for thought.
All the best -
